The American Movie Channel will have you going raving mad for Mad Men.This drama is so well put together it has to be talked about. The opening of the show you will feel like your being sucked into a film nior, but its a twist.Capturing the essence of 1960s New York from the costume design to the cinematography. The costumes is one of the element to this masterpiece that is very striking and puts the viewers right on Madison Avenue. The show does give off that filling of a film noir, but maybe because of the 1960 style. The costume design of each character to Don Draper fits the character's personality. From the smoking, cheating, drinking, and more smoking this drama will leave you on the edge of your seats.

3.Forest Gump: Life is Unknown

"My mama always said life is like a box of chocolate" I never understood that quote when I was litte. So I watched the movie again now, it make sense to me. Forrest Gump is a life and time story of Forrest Gump his accomplishments, his battles and grief. When my father bought a VCR this was one of the first movies he bought on tape. Anyway looking at Forrest Gump you see how the world was against beside his mama. It hit home when I was little when the teachers said "I was bad" or "Your a problem child" my mama would call me unique. Clearly I'm something if I graduated from Howard University that proves I beat the odds those teachers set for me. I see myself in Forrest Gump when one thing is over he doesn't worry about the next plan for some reason he just fall into the next successful thing in his life. I felt that's how my life been I would fall into the next best thing from Howard University, to my major and next post grad. I feel confident everyday that my life will be in lights saying directed by. IZUNNA ENYINNAH or Starring IZUNNA ENYINNAH. The one thing Forrest Gump showed me that you have to keep fighting no matter what happens. I lost a good friend because something happened I said words that weren't nice, but I'm not going to give up on getting my friend back. Moving on Forrest says his famous line "Life is like a box of chocolate" I felt that way about my life. In a box of chocolate you see all these different shades of chocolate and in each chocolate there is a different flavor. Flavors such as mint, peanut butter, caramel almonds , nuts and cherry. My favorite are peanut butter ,caramel and nuts. I can honestly say peanut butters chocolate in my life are my friends Adanna, Jason Will, Amber, Kristen P, Pierre, because its so rare to find people like a peanut butter in your life. My caramel people are ,Nnamdi, Val, Lepolian, Alexis there hard to understand , but sweet at the end. Then Brittney e mint chocolate would have to be Mileka and Chris. The reason I say that is because when you put one in your mouth its a rough chocolate taste until you get to the center the taste is refreshing. My least favorite is cherry its this one person I went to Howard with left that nasty taste in my mouth like cherry. Always in someone's business always pointing out someone's flaws. Never could take the time to look at the mirror. That was my cherry I don't want to mention his name. Looking at life its unknown, you never know the people who come into your life and that's point blank, kinda like a box of chocolate. You know there are peanut butter and mint flavors but you will never know when you run into a cherry.

2 Citizen Kane: HOME is where the Heart is

Rosebud” The famous named uttered in the beginning of the movie by Charles Foster Kane the protagonist in the movie. In the movie the reporters want to know who “Rosebud” was so they go down memory lane of Charles Foster Kane. Through the movie you see how famous Kane was how he tried to run for president of the United States, how he owned a newspaper and the many women he fooled around. The biggest impact the movie left on me was that it remind me of Home and my cousin Nnamdi. I want to talk about home, how all the reporters were trying their best to find out who “Rosebud” was, but Rosebud was home to Kane. He had all the money in the world, but the one thing he couldn’t buy was Home and home is truly were the Heart is. I have this philosophy in life that when we meet someone for the first time a heart is created and that’s the connection you and that person share. That’s the reason people hurt so much because they have that heart connection. Charles Kane wanted that heart connection between home and himself, but he knew he couldn’t get it back. My cousin Nnamdi reminds me so much of Citizen Kane, walk the walk and talk the talk. I have no doubt in my head he will be famous, but I fear if he doesn’t gain that connection with his heart he is going to drift like Charles. He has time to find it, his only 22, but I will pray. like they say in the Wiz think of Home, because home is truly where the heart is.

1. An Education: Keeping my eyes on the prize

An Education is a great coming of age story and I highly recommend people to see it. After watching this movie I thought this girl wanted to live an excited life with the man in the movie. She lost focus on what was important. She had set a goal and that was to get into Oxford. She let this mysterious man come into her life and show her something new, but she lost what was important in life, her dreams and goals. Looking at this movie showed me how I almost forgot the reason I came to Howard. The reason I went to Howard University was to get an education, but I let extra stuff throw me off my game. I didn't realize that until I saw how the extra stuff was baggage in my Howard career. I knew I had to keep my eyes on the prize, because the extra stuff can stop you from your dreams and goal. I understood I was caught up in the extra stuff and I stop making movies, I stop writing screenplays, I stop being me. I got that from the movie that never put your all into one person or one thing because you end up losing who you are in the end. My mother would teach me how it is important not to forget who you are and never lose focus. I'm finally keeping my eyes on the prize.

Why I'm doing this....

Hello, everyone my name is Izunna Enyinnah from Atlanta,GA and a graduate of Howard University. I'm into my post graduated era from college to real life. So i decided to make a goal that I would enjoy doing before real life meaning work, marriage and kids. So my plan for the summer is to watch 200 movies in 111 days because I get a lesson or empowerment from movies. So 100 films from the AFI greatest movies of all time and 100 everday movies I come across. I love movies and I'm not saying that because I'm a film major, I'm saying it because movies are magic. A lot of people don't see the magic I see in films and I want to share my experience enjoy you guys.
